My Song and Poetry Writers

Both of the girls, like most children, love to make up songs and poems.  They enjoy experimenting with words and telling little jokes.  Yesterday as Hannah got in the van after church, she immediately said that she was bored.  But minutes later, she was compiling beautiful poetry on paper.  Here is what she wrote along with a song Alexa sung to me this morning.  Enjoy! : )

Hannah's Poems (the first was typed by her)

A Tree A Bee
a tree a bee a tree a  bee
what is a tree a bee?
can you be a tree a bee?

Lexy's song, sung to the tune of "I'm a Little Tea Pot":

I'm a little cherry short and flat.
Let me go away and smash on your toe.

by Alexa Wieder

Alexa is still working on getting the concept of rhyming words. : )   But who said poems had to rhyme?  : ) : )
