Sunday Lunch Conversation

For those of you who don't know, we attend a 3 family home church and we LOVE it.  That piece of knowledge is important for the following story.  You see, our girls sit with us during church so therefore, we know exactly what they are taught.  Which is also important for the following story.

The Conversation:
Me:  "Did you girls learn anything at church today?"
Alexa:  "No."
Matt:  "Then maybe your ears weren't open.  Alexa, did you have something in your ears?"
Alexa:  "No."
Matt:  "Did you have something in your heart?"
Alexa:  "No.   But I had toe jam in my belly button."

We claim God's promise and I am sure many of you do, that if we train our kids up in they way they are to go, that in the future they won't depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).  But for now, we will laugh at the toe jam in belly buttons. : )   On another occasion, I pulled Alexa aside because she was crying.  When asked what was wrong, she said, "I like church, but not much, only a little."  At least she is honest. : )
